By mounting an external fan directly between the engine and the chipper chamber, the hot air is draw through the engine compartment and into the chipper box. The hot air is then ejected out of the discharge chute with the woodchip. The extra air added to the system allows Greemnech to lower the standard operating speed of the engine without any loss of efficiency. This helps reduce fuel consumption and achieve a significantly quieter machine, with only 114 dB Sound Power and 94dB Sound Pressure.
The hinged bonnet is lined with noise reduction foam which, in combination with the disc blades, will offer one of the quietist wood chippers on the market.
Both petrol and diesel engines are Stage 5 compliant and will provide usable power matched to operational needs whilst retaining fuel economy.
