Housing association Karbon Homes is responsible for the management and maintenance of almost 30,000 properties, making it one of the largest organisations of its kind in the North East and Yorkshire. As part of a business partnership with the Byker Community Trust (BCT), Karbon Homes provide BCT with a dedicated Grounds Maintenance Team, responsible for the upkeep of the Grade II* Listed Byker Estate. Helping Grounds Maintenance Officer Dan Thompson and his team of five with the woodland maintenance is a QuadChip 160 from GreenMech.

Europe’s top-selling wood chipper manufacturer GreenMech have announced a rearrangement of their dealer cover in Devon and Somerset. As from 14th November, Andrew Symons Ltd will be handing sales and support for Devon, with dedicated GreenMech specialists operating out of three depots.

Woodland management is ‘top of the list’ for Fife Golf Trust together with a GM QuadTrak
Nearly 20 years of minimal woodland management across several courses in Scotland has come to an end thanks to the Fife Golf Trust and their purchase of a GreenMech QuadTrak chipper and trailer. Fife Council owns seven golf courses and the Trust has maintenance responsibilities for all of them. Golf Courses Manager Paul Murphy and his team of 21 greenkeepers has now put the disposal of the woody waste firmly back on the agenda with their recent purchase.

River Clyde Homes is an Inverclyde-based housing association that manages 5600 homes and factors 2500 properties for home owners. In 2017 River Clyde Property Management was created as an ‘in-house’ specialist team to maintain the grounds, landscaping and the local environment. Grounds Supervisor, Derek Robertson, quickly specified a GreenMech Arborist 150 woodchipper to join his fleet as it was “versatile enough to cope with the variety of arboricultural work we were going to face”.

Luscombe Plant Hire, based in Ulverston, Cumbria, stock a wide range of site machinery and tools available for daily, weekly, or long-term hire. After noticing that their GreenMech Arborist 130 woodchipper was hardly ever in the yard, owner Simon Luscombe decided to add a second one to his hire fleet to meet the consistent demand.
